Trying to explain time to a toddler can be a tough one, especially when nine months sounds like a short amount of time, but can seem really long. Because the baby will be born around Easter, we tried to give Peyton a better sense of how much time would pass by explaining the holidays that would come before April. We told the kids in September, so we told her we’d have to get through Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentine’s Day. I can’t believe we’re approaching the last holiday and that February starts on Saturday! Time sure flies.
Since we’re getting closer to the month of love, I wanted to share what I’ll be including in the kids’ Valentine’s Day boxes this year for inspiration and to introduce you to a couple of new small shops I found while looking for things to include.
A huge thank you to Nicole, creator behind The Soltrop Six Peg Dolls Etsy shop for collaborating with me this holiday. She is incredibly talented and paints the most adorable wooden peg dolls. Her shop is home to the coolest collection of sets and she can create custom orders. The colors and attention to detail in her sets is perfect. Nicole graciously gifted us the set for Peyton and is offering my followers 10% off with the code MARINAMAKES10. Please go check out her shop! Her peg dolls would make the best gift for Valentine’s Day, birthdays or just for fun.
