On Monday, April 6, we welcomed our baby girl, Sage Emelia, to the world!! She was born at 3:18 p.m. and is 8 pounds 2 ounces and 21 inches long.
Sage was my quickest and easiest birth experience, which wasn’t surprising to me because Emory’s birth was easier than Peyton’s. I went in for a scheduled induction on Monday morning and by the afternoon, she was in my arms! I had decided to be induced at 39 weeks after having a good experience doing the same with Emory and with everything going on with the pandemic, I’m so glad we were able to bring her home sooner rather than later.
Being in a hospital during this time felt relatively normal besides the fact that everyone had to wear a mask and we weren’t allowed to have visitors. We were just extra cautious about washing our hands and sanitizing everything when we came home. All of the doctors and nurses were so wonderful and never made us feel panicked about COVID-19, which I was extremely thankful for.
We were able to leave shortly after 24 hours and are home now with all three kiddos. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts during this time. We look forward to making memories as a new family of five!
