It’s Friyay!!! You know what that means, right? The perfect day to share a summery, sweet cocktail. This is my first time sharing an alcoholic beverage on the blog – eeeek! I’m excited, but also nervous.
Lately, my husband has aspired to become a homemade cocktail connoisseur. He bought himself a big, bad book with millions of recipes for drinks. It’s so cool and I’ve loved witnessing how excited he gets when he makes a new drink for himself or our friends. We’re hoping to have a spot for a bar cart in our new house, and I’m sure he’ll have plenty of opportunity to perfect his skills in the months to come.
The reason I bring up the book is because it has also come in handy for me. Each month, I create a cocktail/mocktail to include in my Date Night In menu and I definitely need all the help I can get when it comes to mixed drinks. Food and wine is more of my forte, but it’s been a fun adventure tasting different alcohols and testing out combos.
This strawberry limeade cocktail is one I recently put together for Date Night In (if you’d like more information on Date Night In, click here). It’s light, sweet and has a nice tang. I’m not a hard alcohol person, but I really enjoyed drinking this and my husband (who is a hard alcohol person) liked it as well.
If you’re staying away from drinking, it’s just as great without the alcohol and is a fun drink to make for kiddos. If you end up making it, don’t forget to tag your photos with #marinamakeseats!
