Things have been quiet around here, and I apologize, but it’s because I’ve been growing a human. Yep, we’re expecting our third child and he/she will be due in April 2020!! We are over the moon and so grateful to God for keeping the baby safe and healthy.
While I have been feeling great for the most part, I’ve been a little tired and lazy, and haven’t had the energy to take pictures and post as much. Hence, you’ve barely heard from me. Plus, all I wanted the first trimester is Chick-fil-A and Taco Bell, so that threw a lot of my cooking out the window. I’m clearly making health a priority this pregnancy – ha!
Most of all, I’ve found myself extremely anxious about the baby’s health and whether or not our little one would make it to twelve weeks. I’m not sure if it’s because the more pregnancies you go through, the more you’re aware of what can go wrong, or the fact that according to statistics, my chances of miscarrying are higher because I’ve already had two normal full-term pregnancies. Or, the fact that I had a significant amount of bleeding when I turned nine weeks.
Whatever the reasoning, it’s just crazy to me how much you can care about someone you’ve never met. While I feel like I tried to avoid getting attached to this little human, I did. Since the day I found out I was pregnant, all I’ve wanted to do is keep him/her as safe as I can. I’m still at the point where I’m wondering if everything is okay with the baby. As moms (and dads), we invest so much of our hearts in our little ones from day one, and as scary as it is, it’s such a beautiful relationship. There’s nothing else like it.
So here we go, diving into the world of bringing home another babe. We were honestly on the fence about having more, but God was tugging at our hearts to have one more, and again, we’re so grateful we have been able to continue to grow our family. I guess we always felt that there were two little feet missing. And for those wondering, we are content with having three, and my husband would probably have a heart attack if we added more – ha! Let the chaos and love continue!!
